This Privacy Policy describes how SG Lottery Companion ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. The App is a results viewer and ticket-checking tool for Singapore Pools TOTO and 4D games. It lets you scan physical tickets, check them against official published results, view latest draw results, find outlets, and set draw-day reminders.
Not affiliated with Singapore Pools. SG Lottery Companion is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Singapore Pools (Private) Limited or the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Singapore. The App does not sell lottery tickets, accept bets, or process wagers of any kind. It is an informational results viewer only.
1. Summary
No account is required. We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use the App.
Ticket scanning happens on your device. Photos of your tickets are processed locally using on-device text recognition. Ticket images are not uploaded to our servers.
Your saved tickets stay on your device. Ticket numbers and check history are stored locally.
Ads are served by Google AdMob in the free version, which may use your device's advertising identifier. Purchasing "Remove Ads" removes advertising entirely.
We do not sell your personal data.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide
Ticket photos and scanned numbers. When you scan a ticket, the camera image is analysed on your device to read the ticket numbers. The recognised numbers and draw details are saved locally on your device so the App can check them against results. Ticket photos are not transmitted to us or retained after processing.
Saved number sets and preferences. Favourite numbers, reminder settings, and in-app customisations (such as theme choice) are stored locally on your device.
2.2 Information collected automatically
Results requests. When the App fetches draw results, our server receives standard technical information such as your IP address, device type, App version, and request timestamps. This is used to deliver results, keep the service reliable, and prevent abuse. Server logs are retained for a limited period and are not linked to an identity.
Push notification token. If you enable draw-day reminders, a device push token is registered with Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (Android) or Apple Push Notification service (iOS) so reminders can be delivered. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Approximate location (optional). If you use the outlet finder and grant location permission, your device location is used in the moment to show nearby outlets. Location is not stored on our servers or used for advertising. The outlet finder also works without location permission by browsing the outlet list.
Diagnostics. The App may collect anonymised crash reports and basic performance data to help us fix bugs.
2.3 Advertising (free version only)
The free version of the App displays advertising served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android; IDFA on iOS, only with your consent via App Tracking Transparency), IP address, and coarse device information to serve and measure ads. Where required, you will be asked for consent, and you may choose non-personalised ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in AdMob.
You can limit or reset ad personalisation in your device settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads; iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking). Purchasing the one-time "Remove Ads" upgrade removes all advertising from the App.
2.4 Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive or store your payment card details. We receive only a purchase confirmation so the App can unlock the ad-free experience.
3. How We Use Information
To check your scanned or saved tickets against officially published draw results.
To display latest results, jackpot information, and outlet locations.
To send draw-day reminder notifications you have enabled.
To serve advertising in the free version and honour ad-free purchases.
To maintain, secure, and improve the App and diagnose crashes.
To comply with applicable law.
We do not use your information to build gambling behaviour profiles, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
On-device data (scanned tickets, saved numbers, preferences) remains on your device until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes all locally stored App data.
Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and reliability, then deleted or anonymised.
Push tokens are deleted when you disable notifications or uninstall the App.

6. Your Rights
We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA). Depending on where you live, you may also have rights under laws such as the GDPR (EEA/UK) or CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because the App stores almost all data locally on your device, most of these rights can be exercised directly in the App or by uninstalling it. For anything else, contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Age Requirement
The App relates to lottery results and is intended for users aged 18 and above. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Responsible Gambling
The App is a results viewer only and does not facilitate gambling. If gambling is affecting you or someone you know, help is available:

9. Security
Data in transit between the App and our results server is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. On-device data is protected by your device's built-in security. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the limited data involved.
10. International Transfers
Our services and the third-party services listed above may process limited technical data on servers outside Singapore. Where personal data is transferred, we ensure protection consistent with the PDPA's transfer limitation obligations.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and where appropriate, an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
